Artist Participation Policy
This policy governs all artist submissions and interactions within the One Beat One Voice (OBOV) platform. By participating in any OBOV challenge, artists agree to the following terms, which are designed to protect producers, foster originality, and ensure fair, respectful collaboration.
Beat Licensing & Usage Restrictions
• Exclusive Challenge Use Only: Beats provided through OBOV are licensed solely for use within the scope of the current challenge. They are not available for download, reposting, or external distribution.
• No External Posting: Artists may not upload, stream, or share the challenge beats—whether standalone or with vocals—on any external platform, including but not limited to:
• YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, or personal websites.
• No Derivative Works: Artists may not remix, sample, or alter the beat for use in other projects unless a separate agreement is reached with the producer after the challenge.
• Violation Consequences: Unauthorized use of beats will result in:
• Immediate disqualification from the challenge
• Removal of featured content
• Potential suspension from future OBOV campaigns
Original Lyrics Requirement
• 100% Original Content: All lyrics submitted must be original, written specifically for the OBOV challenge.
• No Borrowed Material: Artists may not use lyrics, hooks, melodies, or phrases from existing songs, including:
• Commercially released tracks
• Freestyles or remixes
• Public domain or traditional works
• Creative Integrity: Artists are responsible for ensuring their lyrics do not infringe on any third-party copyrights. Plagiarism or interpolation without permission is strictly prohibited.
Post-Challenge Collaboration
• Independent Agreements Encouraged: After the challenge concludes, artists are welcome to pursue direct collaboration with producers, provided both parties mutually agree.
• Outside OBOV Scope: These collaborations are independent of OBOV and not governed by this policy. OBOV does not mediate or enforce terms of post-challenge agreements.
• Respectful Outreach: Artists are expected to approach producers professionally and respectfully. Any harassment or misuse of contact information may result in removal from OBOV platforms.
Ownership & Right
Artist Rights:
• Artists retain full ownership of their original lyrics and vocal performance.
• Artists grant OBOV a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to feature their submission on OBOV platforms, social media, and promotional materials.
Producer Rights:
• Producers retain full ownership of their beats unless a separate licensing agreement is reached post-challenge.
• Beats may not be reused, re-recorded, or redistributed by artists without written permission.
OBOV Rights:
• OBOV reserves the right to showcase, archive, or promote submissions for community engagement, challenge recaps, and future campaigns.
Disqualification & Enforcement
Grounds for Disqualification
• Unauthorized beat usage
• Non-original lyrics
• Offensive, hateful, or discriminatory content
• Harassment of producers, judges, or other artists
Enforcement Actions:
• Removal from current challenge
• Suspension from future OBOV events
• Public retraction of featured content
• Notification to affected parties
• Appeals Process: Artists may submit a written appeal within 7 days of disqualification. OBOV will review and respond within 14 days
Community Standards
• Respect & Inclusion: OBOV is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful creative community. Artists must refrain from submitting content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination.
• Constructive Engagement: Artists are encouraged to support fellow participants, engage respectfully in comments and feedback, and uphold the spirit of collaboration.
• Zero Tolerance: Any form of bullying, trolling, or sabotage will result in immediate removal from the platform.
Policy Updates
• OBOV reserves the right to update this policy at any time to reflect platform growth, legal requirements, or community feedback.
• Artists will be notified of major changes via email or platform announcements.
• Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

Fair Play

• If your verse wins, the watermark is removed and you’ll receive the full‑quality beat for reposts, collaborations, or future releases.

No Exceptions, No Extension
Once the submission window closes, it’s locked.
If your track isn’t uploaded by the deadline, it will not be accepted — no exceptions, no excuses. We respect every artist’s time and hustle, and keeping it fair means sticking to the timeline.
